Selena Gomez steals a smooch from female friend

Selena Gomez had an Independence Day party to remember after sharing a smooch with singer Ruby Carr during a party on Monday night (04Jul16).

The pop star was on the road for the American holiday and spent the night partying with her friends, including Ruby who is the vocalist and keyboard player for Bahari, the opening act for Selena's Revival tour.

Ruby took to Snapchat to document the bash, and it was one video featuring Selena that sent gossips and fans wild.

In the short clip, Ruby, who is dancing next to the singer, turns to give Selena a kiss on the lips, to which she happily obliges before wrapping her arms around Ruby's neck.

After the clip went public, Selena's fans stormed Twitter in the hope they could to steal a smooch from their idol as well, with one user writing, "@selenagomez can i kiss u on the lips too?", as another tweeted, "excuse me I want a kiss too @selenagomez."

Since Selena was scheduled to perform in Phoenix, Arizona on Tuesday (05Jul16), she was unable to attend her best friend Taylor Swift's annual Independence Day party on the other side of the country in Rhode Island.

Although Selena wasn't present, the Shake It Off singer still had a memorable weekend with members of her 'girl squad', and her new beau, actor Tom Hiddleston.

Blake Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds were also part of the patriotic fun, as was Brit Ed Sheeran and his girlfriend Cherry Seaborn, who were celebrating their first anniversary as a couple at the bash. And reports suggest singer Kesha was also part of a karaoke singing contest at Taylor's Rhode Island retreat.

Selena Gomez struts her stuff, the new weave

Selena Gomez is proud of her look from her hair to her dress and she is not afraid to strut her stuff in her latest pictures.

Wearing a sheer black maxidress, the 21-year-old star was spotted yesterday getting her hair done, and she wants everyone to know that it isn't her real hair.

She posts, "Weave is back. :) hehe #901 #seatbelt #passengerselfie #hashtag."

With her new locks blowing in the wind and the button-up top strategically unbuttoned, the pop star struts in the flowing, pleated see-through maxi that matches perfectly with her killer black heels. We can't wait to see if she'll be working it like this at Sunday's vmas!

Leonardo Dicaprio raises $25 million in star-studded gala to save endangered animals

He's one of Hollywood's most high-profile environmentalists.

And on Wednesday night, Leonardo DiCaprio put his money where his mouth with the inaugural gala for his namesake foundation.

The A-list actor was joined by dozens of celebrity guests on the French Riviera for event, which raised an amazing $25 million to help protect earth's last remaining wild areas.

"There has never been, since the time of dinosaurs, as many plant and animal species disappearing so quickly,” DiCaprio told the audience during his opening remarks. “We must make efforts to protect rich biodiversity." 

The host of the evening added, "The wild species that depend on us to protect their habitat, like Tigers whose numbers have plummeted to under 3,200 left in the wild, or African elephants, who are being slaughtered at a rate of over 30,000 a year for their ivory tusks — they have no voice. We must be their ambassadors. We must be their protectors. We must stop their slaughter".

The event included an auction of artwork from artists like Damien Hirst and Pablo Picasso, DiCaprio's own Harley Davidson motorcycle signed by Martin Scorsese, Robert De Niro and Bono, and rock n’ roll memorabilia available to 500 guests.

In attendance were names like Selena Gomez, Joan Collins, Petra Nemcova, Cara Delevingne, Jared Leto, Marion Cotillard, Robin Thicke and Bono (who auctioned off his personal guitar for $1 million). It’s been reported that tickets to the event cost between between $7,000 and $130,000. The proceeds went toward the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation, which funds projects and programs to help save endangered and threatened species around the world.

Singer Selena Gomez's parents are concerned about her reunion with notorious pop star Justin Bieber. Justin and Selena have given their previously rocky romance a second chance and gotten back together, but is it for good? A source close to Justin has revealed exclusively that he is happy to be back with his lady-love but still might not give up his old cheating way.

The couple was recently spotted kissing and hugging each other during breakfast at a restaurant in Texas, and on another day, Bieber dedicated a song to Gomez in a surprise SXSW party at a bar in Austin.

Soon after the 21-year-old singer(Selena) was released from rehab for an unknown treatment, a racy video featuring Bieber and Gomez surfaced.

"Selena has chosen Justin over her family in the past," people.com quoted a source as saying. "They are disappointed about that, her father has told her he doesn't like her spending time with him," the source added.

This is not the first time that the couple has got back together after their initial breakup in November 2012. Early in January, they were seen together, riding Segways in Bieber's Southern California neighbourhood.

“Selena thinks if Taylor were really her friend she wouldn’t give her an ultimatum or make her choose between the two,” our source revealed. “She respects Taylor and always will, but the most important thing to Selena is Justin right now.”
